The aim of National Children’s Gardening Week is to inspire children’s curiosity, whilst the warm weather is a great time to see speedy results of seed sowing, planting and other gardening activities.

The Skinny Jean Gardener announced as ambassador for National Children’s Gardening Week 2025 As a leading children’s gardening educator, Lee Connelly, known as the Skinny Jean Gardener, is on a mission to inspire the next generation of young gardeners! As part of his 2025 UK School Gardening Tour, sponsored by National Garden Gift Card, he’ll bring hands-on gardening fun to schools nationwide—engaging 10,000 children in the magic of nature and gardening.

Supporting Greenfingers
Greenfingers is a national charity dedicated to supporting children who spend time in hospices around the UK by creating inspiring gardens for them to relax in and enjoy. They create beautiful, well-designed outdoor spaces for children to enjoy with their family, friends and siblings, whether through play and fun, or therapeutic rest and relaxation.
